BFKL in forward jet production

In this talk I consider dijet production at large rapidity intervals in hadron collisions and forward-jet production in DIS as candidate signatures of a BFKL evolution. The state of the art on the measurements, and on the BFKL-motivated phenomenological analyses with emphasis on the different approximations involved, is reviewed. To appear in the Proceedings of the XIIth Hadron Collider Physics...

Forward-jet production in DIS

In this talk I report on some work done in collaboration with Jochen Bartels and Mark Wüsthoff on forward-jet inclusive production in DIS in the small-xbj limit. We work in the HERA lab frame and examine the jet production rate and the lepton-jet azimuthal-angle correlation at small values of xbj .

Forward jets and forward W -boson production at hadron colliders

In this talk we give a short review of forward jets and forward W -boson production at hadron colliders, in view of the extraction of footprints of BFKL physics. We argue that at Tevatron energies, dijet production at large rapidity intervals is still subasymptotic with respect to the BFKL regime, thus the cross section is strongly dependent on the various cuts applied in the experimental setup...

Forward jet production at HERA

Forward jet and particle cross sections have been measured in lepton-proton collisions by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations at HERA. Parton evolution schemes are tested by requiring a forward jet or particle with E T ∼ Q 2 or a forward jet plus a central dijet system. The measurements are compared to next-to-leading order QCD predictions and various QCD-based Monte Carlo models.

Forward jet production at HERA

We discuss forward jet production data recently published by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations at HERA. We review how several Monte-Carlo models compare to the data. QCD calculations based on the BFKL formalism and on fixed NLO perturbation theory with and without resolved virtual photons are described. ‡ Invited talk at the Ringberg Workshop New Trends in HERA Physics 1999, Ringberg Castle, Teger...
